Shepton PTSA hosts Parent Program: “Road Rules: What Every Parent Should Know!”

March 31st, 2014

Shepton PTSA hosts an informative parent program, “Road Rules – What Every Parent Needs to Know!” on May 5, 11 am, at the Shepton High School Library.

This program addresses the causes of car crashes and what can be done to lessen the chances that your teen will be involved in one.  Driver education programs and new teen driving laws will also be discussed. Parents will learn what they can do now to help new drivers be more aware of the risks of the road.  Presenter Karen Slay, Texas PTA Immediate Past President, is the founder of the US Department of Transportation’s “Kid’s Aren’t Cargo” campaign.  She has appeared in many magazines, including Women’s Day and Texas Monthly, and has appeared on the Oprah Show.

Please join us for Karen’s presentation on teen driving. She is passionate and extremely well versed in all of the laws, rules and safety aspects of our kids on the road.
